XtLearn is a form of bookmarking web-site that enables academics and others to build collections of resources and present them to students in ways that are visually compelling. You can gather resources from anywhere on the web or create resources from your own files – organising them to form collections that can be edited and shared with anyone via a simple link. You can share collections with colleagues and friends, publish them on Facebook and other sites, and easily deliver them to learners in a VLE like Moodle.
XTLearn is free to use, just register, although greater functionality is available with a paid subscription. A full description with instructions is available on the website xtlearn.net.
Examples of how XTLearn has been used. Coventry University London Campus Library currently use XTLearn to provide subject resources pages via Locate or this website. CULC is also experimenting with embedding resources in Moodle along similar lines to this example.
