SoftChalk is an authoring software, which enables the quick and easy creation of interactive online learning materials and digital lessons. These resources are created as SCORM packages and can be uploaded to Moodle. Through the creation of personalised learning content and embedded assessments, interactivity helps to increase student engagement and improve learning outcomes.
The University has a number of SoftChalk licences, that are assigned to named individuals who may install the software on their desktop PC and laptop. SoftChalk installation files can be downloaded from the University’s repository (CURVE) via this weblink. Please contact the CUOnline Team (cuonline.elu@coventry.ac.uk or x. 657673) for installation assistance and licence keys.
For assistance in producing digital lessons, SoftChalk have a number of comprehensive training videos and short courses that provide instruction of the creation of learning material. See more information here.
